Summer Coords! (July - August 2025)
As the summer comes to a close, I have one last summery blogpost (if september stays warm I’ll have another one hopefully!), I am still wearing EGL as much as possible, in my stubbornness to keep up my Lolita lifestyle streak of 2025! I have been wearing much more sweet, and brighter colours as the summer continues to be warm and bright in the UK! I have been experimenting with various wigs despite the harsh tempteratures, and pushing my coords with new styling and a few new pieces I have acquired!
My friends and I planned on doing a day out twinning in our Scallop Hem jsks, I was the only person without a Baby Scallop Hem, hence I wore my 2002 AP scalloped jsk that my friend Thalia gifted me! I love the cute length, and I wanted my coord to be very inspired by the year that the dress is from. We went out to Brick Lane for bagels and I very cleverly decided to wear platform heels... I couldn’t resist how these yosuke heels look with these OTKs! It reminds me of early 2000s coords from GLB. I paired the jsk with white accessories and big hime gyaru esque hair, made up of many hairpieces and bobby pins... and finished with a massive BTSSB maid headdress! This is my favourite coord I’ve put together in ages, I love the short JSK big hair combo!

Yoshitomo Nara White Cult Party Kei
There was a Yoshitomo Nara exhibiton in London that I wanted to go to with a few friends, for the occassion my friend and Idid shiro and kuro looks. I love this nightgown I got the other day and wanted to put together a cult party kei inspired coord, and the outcome reminds me of 1990s inspired Meta! I wore my Jane Marple fluffy shoes for a proto vibe and did big fluffy hair. The exhibition was so lovely, and It was nice to try out a different silhouette without a petticoat and instead a longer jsk.

Shiro Guro Angel for Vkei Night!
Visual Kei night had returned for the summer season, and I was not going to miss a fun night out participating in some devious Bangya activities... I struggled to decide on an outfit but shiro is always a good choice, so i put on a full shiro coord with angel wings too! I wanted to incorporate an element of guro for horror theme night, so instead of wearing an apron I wore my gory socks and splatted red facepaint all over my face, I like how it’s subtle but still has a spooky element! I also went for practical boots, always easier to dance and do furi in sturdy shoes and I like how the black chunky boots break up all the white!

A very Lolita trip to Hastings
My friend Thalia and I had a lovely few days away on a very EGL trip to Hastings! We stayed at an amazing Bed and Breakfast with beautiful Antique interiors, everything was straight out of a Victorial novel! I wore a historical undergarment inspired coord, with my big bonnet and nightgown, which I felt fitted the beautiful interiors. There were so many beautiful cabinets with endless things to look at. We had afternoon tea and cake, it was so peaceful we ended up sleeping for most the afternoon.

The next day we went to the beach in Hastings for an arcade day. There were so many lovely shops with antiques we looked in, and the weather was so warm! We ended up finding a DDR machine at the arcade! And this adorable Sooty show machine, where Sooty, Sweep and Sue played a song and I almost cried... Me and Thalia twinned in tartan BTSSB dresses, and I love this 2002 pocket jsk, so i coorded it in a Momoko esque way, with black x white socks and this super old AP headbow (The tag says PRETTY!)

Sweet for a Swap meet!
My friends in London organised a cute swap meet for any Jfashion styles so I attended with a big suitcase full of stuff to get rid of! I wanted to wear my new Metamorphose heels in a sweet coord and I also just got this blouse new from Angelic Pretty Paris website! I chose a super sweet coord but the socks and headdress give it more of an oldschool vibe. I love wearing solid pink sweet, it feels perfect for the summertime! I loved my hair and makeup in this coord, I’ve been using my hairpieces a lot to make cute hime gyaru ish pigtails! My new glasses feel so nostalgic and give me 90s vibes in the coord!

OTT sweet for an exhibition day!
A friend and I went to an exhibition in London about flowers, and we both dressed up in sweet coords, and similar style JSKs! I hadn’t worn this jsk in years which I got new from Angelic Pretty in 2022, so I wanted to coord a super sweet coord with sax x pink! I recently bleached my eyebrows which felt like the right time to wear this blonde Maple wig more, I love the blunt hime cut that I gave the wig! I paired it with simple acessories since it was super warm this day.

Doll parts sweet oldschool for Antiquing
I had an idea to go antiquing in a old doll style coord, so my friends and I decided to go to Portobello Road market in search of antiques. I put a coord together in the style of Claudia from Interview with the Vampire, with the ringlets and bonnet! I also just recieved this cute apron by AATP and it reminds me of Edwardian and Victorian fashion so it added to the vintage vibe of my coord! I wore a mix of soft pink and whites and of course my favourite shoes! I also got a Maple ringlet wig in my prefered colour, so I could put together a porcelain doll coord! This day I met this adorable Chihuahua called Tinkerbell... She outshined me for sure!

Gosurori Museum coord
My friends and I dressed up to go to the V&A Museum to go draw the statues, so I put on a very gosurori coord and dressed up my friend Thalia in one of my more sweet JSKs by Angelic Pretty. I wanted to do a coord inspired by late 90s/early 00s Meta and Moitie with BXW but just solids of each colour as opposed to black with white lace trim. The coord feels very nostalgic with the super short skirt and otks with the heels. I love this Maple wig and bonnet combo. It all feels so nostalgic and truly old-school! I love how these photos came out, they feel true to a early 00s EGL GLB inspired photoshoot.

Dessert day out with Dora
My friend Dora and I went out to our favourite dessert place Candy Cafe (I am addicted to their Mango desserts) for a chill afternoon. We both wanted to have a dress up day, and both wore sweet, I love this Baby blouse and MAM skirt combo, It looks like an OP to me! We both had a lovely afternoon dessert and drawing time (Dora drew both of us in our coords!) and we had a chill walk around! I wanted to wear an all pink coord, and the weather was nice enough to do short sleeves without bringing a cardigain! I of course wore my Meta heels which I have been wearing in every coord lately.

Meetup with the Paris EGL Comm!
A few lovely French lolitas visited London for a few days and so we had a lovely day out and I took them around some of my favourite spots for shopping and food! We hit up the Usagi Maid Cafe in Covent Garden. We got some cute drinks and desserts and I even got a cheki with the butler hehe! We all wore sweet coords this day, so I whipped up the sweetest coord i could while still feeling relatively oldschool, this AP one piece is only from last year! I love the dusty rose colour with white accents. I had such a lovely time going around London with all my friends whom I hadn’t seen in ages! (Most of them since The Queen is Dead in June of 2024) It was such a lovely day, I hope to go to Paris soon to have the comm there tour me around their hotspots haha!
