My favourite recent coords! (april - may 2025)
This first post will be documenting some of my favourite recent coords! I have been trying to experiment within my lolita style lately, and explore more colour, pattern and motif! I have also been getting back into sweet for the summer season, and the weather has been nice enough for short socks and parasols! (when England has its nice days...)
Sax x White for a day out in Camden
Threw together this sweet coord for a day in Camden, I felt so Momoko with my parasol and bonnet, I usually don’t wear sax, so it’s exciting to try out another sax dress that I got recently! I love coording solids with all white accessories, it feels so nostalgic and cute. I adore how my hair looks with the dress, I think the vibrant red looks so cute with the baby blue and white, and the sun made all the colours pop!

Black x White Gothic Oldschool
The main reason I wanted to wear this coord was to try out this blouse I got recently at a swap meet! It’s a moitie blouse that was released in 2023, and it’s so comfy and versataile. It even looks so cute in sweet coords. I love how late 90s this coord feels when worn without the coat. The meta apron gives such a cute babydoll silhouette!

Pink sweet for a twinning picnic
My friends and I hosted a cute spring picnic, where we all twinned in oldschool style sweet pink coords. I love this huge bonnet, It’s so ridiculously big that I have trouble hearing in it but I wont let that take away the fun. We were approached by many a passer by and asked if we were reinacting a series of period dramas for some reason!

Black x White oldschool bonnet nurse
Myself and some friends went to an event night at the National Portrait Gallery for their exhibition on The Face Magazine, there was an evening with lots of activies and pannels! There was a pannel on Visual Kei that my friends Thalia and Pete talked on about Vkei culture in London and a pannel about Nitecawr my friend Jess was on! I dressed up in a spookier coord with 90s Vkei influence. I felt very inspired by bands such as Buck Tick and Dir en Grey. I love this bonnet and how easy it is to wear, and the nurse patch was such a cute addition.

Red monochrome gingham for a swap meet
My Comm recently hosted a swap meet, so I went in a monochromatic look since I’ve been loving wearing my natural hair and pairing the red with red main pieces. I wanted something simple and oldschool but still sweet, since most of my friends at the meet are sweet lolitas. I wore an Angelic Pretty JSK , and paired it with white accessories. My friend Iris and I twinned in gingham, she wore a Baby, The Stars Shine Bright JSK I sold her a while back. I didn’t pick up much from the swap meet but I scored some smaller accessories.

1980s Strawberry Switchblade inspired proto coord
I’ve recently been loving wearing my natural hair more, and it is usually wavy and a bit frizzy, so I decided to backcomb it and wear it in a 1980s style with a hankerchief tied in it. I love these Jane Marple socks and shoes and I knew I wanted to pair them together in a proto look, so i put together a much more proto/ early Lolita esque outfit, with hints of 1980s fashion, specifically Strawberry Switchblade meets Siouxsie Sioux! This day was not too busy, but I did stop by my nearest Korean beauty shop for some products!

Thanks for reading! I will hopefully have another blogpost coming soon, hopefully I am able to write one every 1-2 months documenting my favourite coords from the month, and even posts about recent purchases or Lolita events!
